Sober Companionship
A sober companion is more than a support person — they are a steady, experienced presence that makes the difference between relapse and recovery in the critical early months of sobriety.
Lived Experience. Professional Training.
At Home Recovery's companions are all personally in long-term recovery, credentialed, and trained to provide the kind of support that no facility or program can replicate. They do not understand addiction from a textbook — they have lived it, navigated it, and built meaningful lives on the other side of it. That authenticity is the foundation of the relationship and the reason it works.
Integrated Into Your Daily Life
Sober companions integrate into a client's daily life: living with them, accompanying them through their routines, helping them build new habits, and serving as an immediate resource during moments of craving, anxiety, or crisis. They are not monitors or enforcers — they are partners in recovery who walk alongside the client with empathy, honesty, and accountability. The relationship is one of mutual respect and genuine connection.
Fully Flexible — Built Around Your Life
Companion engagements are fully flexible. Some clients need a full-time companion for the first 30 to 90 days. Others benefit from part-time support during specific hours, high-risk situations, or major life transitions. We match each client carefully — considering personality, background, recovery history, and personal goals — to ensure the relationship genuinely supports growth.
